Greetings from… Tampa, Florida!

November was a MEGA ROAD TRIP! Since being on the road 5 year, I am going to guess this is the furthest I have driven within a 30 day period!

I left Las Vegas in November 5th & was in the Orlando, Florida area by the end of the month!

Notable pit stops along the way were:

  • Dallas, Texas: to see some of my co-workers, eat barbecue, go to Colin Street Bakery & catch a blues show behind a BBQ place!

  • Livingston, Texas: The home of the Escapees RV Club that I have been a proud-card carrying member for 7 years (a couple of years before I even bought an RV!). On the visit, I was able to take a tour of their headquarters / mail center.

  • St. Augustine, Florida: Stopped in to see my friend Amy & her new space (https://www.facebook.com/thirdspaceimprov/). Afterwards, we took a stroll through the adorable little downtown area there to see the their “Nights of Lights” event.

My travels this month!

A really awesome blues show in Dallas, Texas!

The world famous home of the fruitcake!

Famous fruitcake!

Gay campground

This property use to be completely empty & on July 4th, 1984, it was host to one of the very first RV rallies in the country! At the event, all of the RVers brought extension cords & plugged into it for power! The pole is still standing today next to the Escapees Headquarters!
